The International Esports Federation (IESF) was one of the first such bodies. Originally fashioned in 2008 to help promote esports in the southeast Asian area, it has grown to incorporate fifty six member countries from across the global. The IESF has managed annual Esport World Championships for groups from its member international locations across multiple games.
The founding members have been 4Kings, Fnatic, Made in Brazil, Mousesports, NiP, SK-Gaming, Team 3D. The group solely lasted until 2009 before dissolving.
